Susanne Sachße, sometimes credited as Susanne Sachsse (born 3. September 1965 in Saxony, Germany) is a Berlin-based German theatre and film actress, radio play writer and theatre director. Susanne Sachsse grew up in the GDR and was engaged as a stage actress with the Berliner Ensemble. Since 2000 she has been a freelancer and was co-founder of the art collective Cheap and has worked in productions at the Volksbühne Berlin, Hebbel am Ufer and the Schaubühne am Lehniner Platz, among others. She has appeared in various films such as Alaska.de, The Old Monkey Fear and Works by filmmaker Bruce LaBruce. In 2017, she staged the concert performance Original Sin about her grandmother's life in the GDR, which she also turned into a radio play within the series 30 years of the fall of the in 2019. 1986 to 1990 studied at The Drama College in Rostock (Rostocker Schauspielschule), which at the time was a branch of the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Art in Berlin. She is an actress and producer, known for The Raspberry Reich (2004), Serious Ladies (2013) and Otto; or, Up with Dead People (2008).
